- Originally operated under the name "Lion Fire & Safety Supplies", Pyrene Fire Security Manitoba was bought by its current president, Guy Dansereau, back in 1987 at a time when the company was nearing bankruptcy. Lion Fire only had a few service vehicles, basic extinguisher servicing equipment, and a limited amount of expertise among the remaining employees. Under new ownership and relocated to Clarence Avenue, Lion Fire reorganized itself and slowly grew; expanding their customer base and perfecting the techniques required for servicing portable extinguishers and kitchen fire extinguishing systems.
