This time, it's Ardi Kolah of Brand Republic. Apparently, the new saviour of television ads is what we call here in the U.K. "red button" services, where a red button icon appears on your TV screen during an ad, you press the red button on your remote, and you're bombarded with a more immersive advertising experience known as "participative advertising".
They're the worst kind of ads; i.e., ones where you actually have to make a conscious decision to watch, knowing all too well it'll end in tears.
Once again, we're presented with research which suggests that a low percentage of people who own a PVR actually time-shift recordings and tend not to skip through ads.
