- In 2009 large scale PV plants with cumulative power more that 1,3 GWp were connected to the grid. Market of the year was Germany with about 600 MWp new power capacity installed followed by Italy (about 200 MWp), the USA and the Czech Republic. Some other EU countries (Bulgaria, Greece, France also increased cumulative power capacity. Among asian countries it is worth to mention China with several large scale PV power plants put into service.
- Detailed overview and description of world's largest photovoltaic (solar electric) installations is available here. 1000 photovoltaic plants are included in the list - power range spans from 1.2 MWp to 60 MWp. Cumulative power of photovoltaic systems presented here is more than 4300 MWp and increases very fast.
