Just to clarify some info on the VIP Mod. The coding for the VIP Mod metaMod plugin is DONE and FULLY FUNCTIONING. It works beautifully!. L.Duke has done a tremendous job fixing bugs and finding every little thing and making it work right. At this point we're just waiting for maps to be completed and tested so that we can release the Mod with some maps to play at the same time.
This mod has not yet been released. It is still in beta testing phase and waiting for maps to be finished before being released. It has been reported on some web sites as being available but it is not at this time. We will be releasing it in the next several weeks but a release date is yet to be determined.
Old school Counter-Strike players will remember a gameplay mode called "assasination mode" that randomly changed a member of the CT team into a VIP. The VIP player was only allowed the pistol he spawned with as his weapon. But, he also spawned with 200 armor. The misson in this game play style was simple: "Protect The VIP Team!". The CT's were to escort the VIP to a rescue zone to win the round. The terrorists objective was to kill the VIP. If they did, the round ended no matter how many other CT's were alive.
