Prostitution Research & Education (PRE) is a 501c.3 nonprofit corporation. PRE develops research and educational programs to document the experiences of people in prostitution. We welcome contributions earmarked for specific programs to: Prostitution Research & Education (PRE) and sent to Box 16254, San Francisco CA 94116-0254
The purpose of Prostitution Research & Education is to abolish the institution of prostitution while at the same time advocating for alternatives to prostitution - including emotional and physical healthcare for women in prostitution. A purpose of PRE is to give voice to those who are among the world's most disenfranchised groups: prostituted/trafficked women and children. The project's goal is to empower this constituency by documenting their perspectives through research, public education, and arts projects.
We develop innovative approaches to educating the public about the issue of prostitution - including how prostitution is an issue of women's rights, how prostitution is about racism, and the ways in which prostitution is also about poverty and basic human rights.
