Prospect Partners, LLC | Welcome
Description
Prospect Partners, LLC, is a leading private equity firm investing in smaller lower-middle-market companies. Often referred to as “The Small Company Specialist,” Prospect Partners focuses exclusively on management-led leveraged recapitalizations and buyouts of niche market leaders with revenues typically under $75mm (EBITDA up to $8mm). A highly active, committed, and experienced small-company buyer, Prospect Partners has completed over 80 investments nationwide since its inception in 1998. An opportunistic investor, Prospect Partners pursues transactions in several ways – by working with current management teams that seek a recapitalization, by backing outside veteran management teams in a buyout, and by co-investing with independent equity sponsors who seek an experienced, well-capitalized partner to help them acquire and grow a company. Prospect Partners invests in profitable, growth-ready U.S.-based companies in a broad range of niche markets, including consumer, commercial, manufacturing, distribution, and specialty business and consumer services. The firm also makes follow-on investments, typically in companies with at least $2mm in revenue. It prefers to acquire majority control positions in which additional capital is available to support organic growth and/or select add-on acquisitions. Prospect Partners manages $470mm across three funds, and is actively investing its $200mm third fund. Limited Partners include Goldman, Sachs & Co., J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Performance Equity Management, LLC, the University of Notre Dame, the Northern Trust Corporation, Commonfund Capital, and RCP Advisors, LLC.
