- One of the few flaws of the ProntoPro TSU7000 (and other Pronto / Marantz models) is the short battery life. Many Pronto owners find themselves with a dead remote before the end of an evening of entertainment, especially if it was accidentally left off the charging dock the night before. This happened to me more than once, and I was left scrambling for a pile of old remotes that I had hoped I would never need again. I was questioning the wisdom of spending many hundreds of dollars (not to mention the hours of programming) on a remote that was always conking out on me. I rebuilt the battery pack with new high-capacity cells, with the hope that I would get a little more time out of my Pronto before it needed to be recharged. The results amazed me. I was able to charge my Pronto and keep it off the charger for days, and still not worry about a dead battery. I was so pleased, that I felt I wanted to share it with other Pronto TSU7000 owners. So here it is. This battery will also work with the TSU3000 if you have the charging dock, and any other Pronto or Marantz model that uses the Philips HHR-60AAA/F4 battery pack.
