- Prime Designs is a small engineering and design firm that has been in the mechanical design business for over 30 years. Most of the work over the years has been related to mobile equipment and attachments of one sort or another, about half the time working for other companies and the other half independently as Prime Designs. I've been fortunate to have worked on a wide range of products over the years, from the two ounce knife sold on this web site to 35 ton front end loaders and a self propelled machine that picks up and transports 120 ton ship modules.
