Description
Pride Houston is an energetic group of committed volunteers who meet year-round to develop, coordinate, promote and organize the annual Pride events for our community. It is our goal to create the means by which gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons can commemorate, educate and celebrate; we build on our past while creating new paths toward a positive future for all humanity, not excluding any aspect of who we are as a people.
Long-term planning for Houston Pride is done by our Board of Directors, which is also responsible for the financial and legal standing of the organization. Planning and promotion of the annual Pride events and other activities is done by our Production Team. The Board and Production Team hold monthly planning meetings, along with the many committees responsible for various aspects of the celebration.
As Houston's GLBT community comes together each year for our annual celebration, Pride has played a major role in our community's history. We continue to make advances, which are announced to the media in regular press releases.
