Description

Biography

Matthew Green, 25, is a Senior Editor for the Advanced Media Network where he previews and reviews upcoming Nintendo GameCube titles, ruminates on Nintendo Wii developments, and attends various gaming trade shows, such as the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo. He's also an editor and contributor to the online information database Everything2 where he leads the VideoGames usergroup in researching and publishing information regarding video games, both obscure and popular. His latest project is this weblog, Press The Buttons.

Prior to his work in the gaming world Matthew created and maintained the Teens With Crohn's Disease website to provide information geared to teenagers regarding the chronic illness. Although the site is no longer updated, it remains online as an informational resource. Matthew's work in the Crohn's community earned him several honors including the 1998 Prudential Spirit of Community Award, a resolution from the Florida Senate, and a proclamation from his childhood home of Brevard County, Florida. He has been invited to present the keynote address at several chronic illness conferences as well. In 1998 Matthew wrote a chapter detailing his teenage years with Crohn's for the book Young People and Chronic Illnesses.

Matthew has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Information Technology with a minor in Creative Writing from the University of Central Florida. By day he is a Computer Analyst, an enjoyable job involving the occasional crunching of code and preparing 3D renderings and 2D site plans of conceptual designs for future construction. It's not a very creativity-oriented job, however, so that must be why spends so much time writing for various projects. If you believe that Matthew's unique point of view could enhance your product or publication, feel free to contact him at the e-mail address above.
