Dubai based i-mate yesterday announced the immediate release of its new quad-band Windows Mobile Smartphone, the i-mate Smartflip (aka HTC StarTrek aka Qtek 8500 which I reviewed some time ago). With its super slim clamshell exterior, full color dual screens, etched metallic look flat keypad and luminescent backlight for easy navigation, the i-mate Smartflip is the chicest and most elegant Smartphone yet. However, packed into its feather-light 99g packaging is a multitude of functionalities that mark it as a highly functional device worthy of the i-mate brand.

I have told you before, that the Samsung SGH-I320 isn't dead at all, even if it became silent after the 3GSM Congress but the latest photos indicates, that a) some of the devices used for the shooting were either pretty old or b) what I believe even more (also because I have heard about this before but never got a proof) that Samsung took the time to redesign the SGH-I320, Samsungs competitor to the Motorola Q and BlackBerry devices.

So let us have a look on these two photos, I've taken from Akihabara News. As you can see on the left photo, the device seems to be the same but the overall shape of the ID is slightly different. Also the keys are different, which is even more important, because the keyboard layout of the left device (on the left picture) and the device on the right picture reminds pretty much on the keyboard layout or the Motorola Q (picture bellow):
