Description

They are the cute little figures with the big crazy eyes from an apparently happy childhood world created by spaniards nando and silvia. the two have been working in close cooperation since they moved to berlin in 2001, and the aim of their projects is to bring a bit of color into your lives.

potipoti Graphic Fashion

potipoti is a young fashion label founded in 2003 in Berlin by two Spanish ilustrators and designers: Silvia Salvador and Nando Cornejo.

Nando&Silvia got a fine arts degree in Madrid and moved to Berlin in 2001. Since then they've kept themselves busy joining their talents in animation, ilustration and fashion desing projects, as well as in gallery exhibitions and club visuals.

potipoti make simple, cute designs, reminiscent of ancient cartoons, for limited edition t-shirts, pullovers, skirts, dresses and purses in the way a birthday cake is made: with love, colour and the goal of making the person wearing it happy.

In the beginning they took care of the whole design and production process by themselves, but after growing some - setting up an online store, taking part in the Berliner Klammoten platform for young designers, and expanding their sales points to Spain, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Japan and other german cities - they´ve handed over the production to nuns in Palencia (Spain) and a small textile company in Salamanca (Spain).

potipoti do graphic fashion, heir of pop illustration and music, their influences ranging from classic cartoons to street art. potipoti don't limit themselves to clothes, but also collaborate with rock bands, creating the visuals for their live shows, or helping the image of music festivals like FIB or Contempopranea take shape. They also do exhibitions with their illustrations, feeding the fashion designs back with the results of these experiments. That makes their style alive and ever changing with the pop culture they are so tightly related to. Exhibitions in New York, Berlin, Düsseldorf or the participation in the Bienal de Video y Nuevos Medios de Santiago de Chile are some examples of their many activities.

potipoti present their collections in El Ego de Cibeles Catwalk at the Internacional Fashion Week of Madrid. They've opened their own store in Barcelona (Comité, Notariat 8, El Raval 08001 Bcn) that they will share with five international designers including Bingo and Cecilia Sorensen.
