- From the humble beginnings back in the days of the original (old) Bulbagarden, Pokemon Online quickly became known as simply, POL by members of the Pokemon fandom community. The true originator was a programmer called Konidias aka MeowthBG from the original Bulbagarden. With the help and support of arguably the most popular Pokemon fan-based website in history - Bulbagarden - it quickly gained cult status and became an enigmatic dream. The first Pokemon Online was short lived and started 1999 and finished 2003 (dates are close estimates).
