the corner. poets corner evolved out of the founders personal website, then SvensPage, into a site specifically tuned to poetry by sven ll rafferty and other poets. it all started in mid 1994, very early in the web's start, and has become one of the premiere sites for people looking for all things poetry. poets corner can say with pride that we were the first poetry centric site on the web, even before search engines, such as Yahoo, were available to find these sites. since then, many other poetry sites have sprung up and we welcome them all. we're not trying to be the number one poetry site on the web, just a nice corner of the web where you can enjoy some good poetry.
