Description
PlanetGlass.net debuted in 2001 as the first and only website dedicated solely to Mid-20th Century Modernist art glass. With a strong emphasis on Italian glass, PlanetGlass.net also offers fine vintage art glass from Scandinavia and North America, from companies such as Orrefors, Kosta and Blenko. Our glass has been featured on Martha Stewart Living, in a Lowes commercial directed by Nick Cassavetes, in Leslie Pina’s book Italian Glass: Century 20, and in The Los Angeles Times. Our website was the subject of an LA Weekly article, which can be viewed here.
PlanetGlass.net is owned and operated by Laura Friedman, who began collecting glass while a Vice President of Development at Paramount Pictures. Laura is currently under contract with Schiffer Press to write three books on 20th Century glass, which are scheduled for release in 2005. She is a member of the Society of Architectural Historians, the Los Angeles Conservancy Modern Committee and the Los Angeles Antiquarian Society.
