The photoblogging community has grown steadily over the past couple of years. As this continues to happen, people get to know each other and local photoblogger groups start to form in various cities throughout the world. Once these groups gain some momentum, it becomes apparent that each group might want its own place on the web to communicate, announce meetings, and share local knowledge.
The purpose of this site is to let each of these groups use a "photobloggers.org" URL. We don't provide hosting, but we will set you up with a cityname.photobloggers.org URL. You set up the hosting with whoever you want and we'll direct our DNS to your server.
Eventually, the Photobloggers.org homepage may combine all the RSS feeds from all the local photoblogger sites into one global feed. Who knows what the future may bring.
