- I've always had a love and fasination for animals. I had my first dog when I was 3. I founded Petorama.com in February 1999. I was inspired by my love for animals, especially my best friend Ducky, a Corgi Mix. It was his unwavering devotion for me that is the driving force of the site then and now. A job promotion and transfer lead to 12 hour work days, which forced me to put Petorama.com on the back burner for awhile. On December 4, 2000, Ducky passed away after 20 years at my side.
