Description
Hotel Svizzera is very central to all amenities in Taormina , ie the town centre, cable car , bus terminal. The rooms are very clean and spacious enough. The staff are very efficient and helpful. Breakfast in the garden is a very good way to start the day. Overall we would highly recommend this hotel for its quality of service. The one and only complaint is that there is no elevator in the building , which means dragging heavy luggage up a lot of steps.
Wow, this was such a pleasant surprise. We got so lucky in finding a place with an incredible view and so close to everything we wanted to do. We were within close walking distance to the best shopping area and not even 1 block from the cable car which takes you down to the beach. The rooms were small but for the price it was clean and friendly. They were very helpful at the front desk and breakfast was great.
An excellent hotel in an excellent location. Taormina is a beautiful small town at the top of a cliff/hill so location is very important. Wonderful views from room of the sea etc and very near to the town of Taormina. Close to cable car. Breakfast buffet was good with lots of variety. Would highly recommend and would go back there if in Sicily again. Rooms are quite small but view makes up for. If using public transport best way to get there is by coach (train station is at the bottom of the hill and impossible without taxi!). If have a car you will need to book parking.
