Our mission is to spread the word of peace throughout the world. It is a simple message that we hope everyone will take the time to think about. What does it mean to you? What does it mean to live in peace with friends and family and even those you do not know?

Peace only comes about when everyone practices it. That's why I wish to wage peace. You can too! It may be as simple as wearing one of our peace symbols which catch the eyes of others or it may be writing an article about peace in your local paper.

PeaceButtons.Com is a DIY business/action. I started making buttons for bands and others in my spare time. A lot has gone on in this world over the last several years or so. The beating of the war drums continues to gain speed. This both frightened and saddened me. I know people of the world do not want more war. War just leads to death and destruction. Using force is always the easy answer without really answering anything or looking into the true state of affairs. The United States continues to propagate the use of the military against others. The mainstream in America is and has been showing only one way to do things and one way to think. I feel there are many people all over the world who wish for peace. Peace is not easy. Peace takes a lot of people making an effort towards peace. You can't get to peace through war. The only way to true peace is through peace. I decided that the first step is to let others know that people do want peace and that people are not alone in these thoughts. I know that peace won't happen just by wearing a peace button or giving someone a peace button. It is a long process. I do think it is a first step. I do think if people see the peace symbol everywhere it will make them think. It may make them think more about war and why it is not the answer. It may make them think more about what people really want in this world. I feel people need to actively practice waging peace. I ask everyone to proudly wear their peace button and give peace buttons as gifts to others. Peace is such a basic thing needed by all humans to exist. We all need to practice peace and understanding in our lives. We need to show our children the value of peace.
