Our mission is to continue the Paskowitz legacy of teaching beginners to surf. But we want to instill more then that for most of you will become surfers. we will teach you the correct basic skills to stand up then you will ride waves standing on your own. We started the business of surf schools and will always maintain the best surf instructors in the world. The formula for success is simple go at your own pace, warm water, sunny beaches, great people in the water and on the beach & delicious food! We are a small family run business with a family of staff that are professional, fun and really love what they do.

Doc pioneered Mission Beach, CA. Graduating from Point Loma High 1937 then Lifeguarding and surfing from 1937. He graduated from medical school at Stanford University the year 1946 upon enlisting in the Navy. Stationed on a hospital ship around the Bikini Islands in the South Pacific. After the war doc moved to Hawaii and practiced medicine at Kapiolani Hospital Honolulu, Hawaii in the 40’s. Surfing along side his buddies the Hawaiian Beach Boy’s. He moved to Israel and joined the army and brought the first surfboard to country in 1954, riding the waves in Mediterranean riding waves he made history. He also practiced medicine on the Island of Catalina California where he met (Juliette) and embarked on a journey to mainland, Mexico. 1959 Doc & Juliette moved to Makaha, Hawaii Doc befriended Hawaiian surfing Legend “Buffalo Keaulana.” Doc practiced medicine out of his house. His sign outside read "Doctors Office & Ding Repair.” Half of the Paskowitz brother's were born in Hawaii. In 1969 the family moved to Israel the country so dear to Doc we lived in a tent on the beach south of Tel Aviv, Palmacheim Beach. Doc was a lifeguard and armed Israeli soldiers were our guards at night (Israel was very actively at war then). 1972 is the summer of Surf Camp is born, Paskowitz Kids are babies and Doc & the older boys are the only instructor’s. Doc still maintains a active yet casual roll at Surf Camp. Lifeguarding with is binoculars and afternoon Surf Story-Time. Doc started as a lifeguard at 16, and is Lifeguarding again at 80. Doc and Juliette are still married and spend winters in Hawaii.
