Description

The GCFP awards a minimum of $10,000.00 in scholarships annually to students majoring in horticulture-related majors. The GCFP offers a variety of educational opportunities to expand your knowledge of horticulture, floral design, environmental concerns, and much more while making lifelong friendships. Members can become accredited through the successful completion of our National Garden Clubs, Inc., sponsored schools and symposiums on floral design, landscape design, gardening study, and environmental study. Non-members may take the courses but will not receive accreditation.

The GCFP promotes preservation of historic landmarks and historic trails; the study of birds, butterflies, endangered species; reclamation and recycling; litter control; and energy awareness. The GCFP supports legislative action in the State and Nationally to preserve natural resources and wildlife.

The GCFP promotes youth activities in schools, FFA, 4-H, Girl and Boy Scouts, and the formation of local Junior Garden Clubs.
