Description
Hydropool Hot Tubs originated in 1970 as a commercial swimming pool company and in 1978 became one of the first hot tub retailers in North America. Initially, Hydropoo purchased hot tub shells from a local manufacturer, plumbed and assembled them in house. By 1980, Hydropool began manufacturing their own hot tubs in Toronto, Canada which are hand crafted by experienced designers and the rest is history.
Hydropool was founded by current CEO, Mr. Dale Papke, and as demand for Hydropool and its reputation for quality grew in leaps and bounds, Mr. Dave Jackson was brought aboard as an operating partner in 1995 and now serves as President. Both Mr. Papke and Mr. Jackson are active in the business and are easily accessible whenever required.
In 1997, Hydropool acquired the assets of an Indiana-based Swim Spa manufacturer. The “Perfect Swim ” Aquatrainer Swim Spa allow the swimming enthusiast to swim against a strong current while never having to turn around as in a traditional residential / commercial swimming pools, the Aquaplay model uses only one pump to drive the massage seats and utilizes an “Aquacord” swim-in-place harness for swimming or exercise resistance. Both are ideal for swimming, jogging, exercise or play and provide a large pool experience in a small, easy to maintain, safe pool space.
