It is the mission of Central Queensland University Press to act as a regional publishing house representing the best in literature, art, history and heritage from all the regions of decentralised Queensland and Outback Australia. CQU Press has demonstrated a successful publishing commitment to Queensland since being founded in 1993 and has now published and successfully marketed over 150 books throughout Australia.
Rather than act as yet another academic press, CQU Press is the only university press in the world to specialise in northern Australia's outback culture and heritage through its imprint Old Silvertail's Outback Books.
With our main bookstore and customer service centre located in Rockhampton, Queensland, Australia, and the editing & typesetting services located on the CQU-Gold Coast International Campus under the direction of Professor Myers, CQU Press & Old Silvertail's Outback Books has carved itself a niche in the Australian book trade.
