In 1997, Chuck Tate and Kevin Hofer developed a web site for their friends Steve and Carol. With Steve being from London and Carol being from the states, it was a huge success in terms of a fun and efficient way of communicating information about the couple and the details of their special day.
In 1999 when Chuck Tate was planning a wedding with his fiancee, he again turned to the Internet as an effective tool of informing guests about the details of the wedding. Friends started requesting sites and with this popularity of informing people about the big event through wedding web sites, Chuck decided to pursue this further by marketing the idea to engaged couples through OurBigNews.com.
Chuck Tate is the President of Lakefront Technologies. Lakefront Technologies is doing business as OurBigNews.com for the purpose of the wedding sites, however, Lakefront Technologies has been developing web-based solutions with business to business relationships for the past five years.
