Overview and History
osCommRes is a service based eCommerce business focused on helping service based businesses sell online. Our goal is to become the leader in delivering easy-to-use Open Source software for the online requirements of service based industries.
osCommRes began as an idea to create a reservation system for a yoga studio with complex pregnancy yoga waiting lists. After a long search, we found there was no software available for Small to Medium enterprises that could manage waiting lists effectively, provide powerful e-Marketing, SMS-Marketing and call centre functionality. In short, the competitors' products were only part solutions for organisations requiring sophisticated online booking systems.
The decision was made to extend the very popular Open Source shop, osCommerce, combining it's best of breed web shop functionality with a sophisticated new approach to a bookings system. The result is a powerful, flexible e-Commerce tool.
