Way back in the hazy dimness of the 1970's a new sport dawned on the horizon. It was Bicycle Motocross racing and it would shape the lives and outlook of a generation of kids who were growing up in the 70's and 80's. There is just something about Old School BMX. BMX is a way of life and it has left an indelible impression on us. This is illustrated by the fact that now as adults, we have felt compelled by our common interest in the sport and the bikes, to seek out like minded people and join together in a community of old school BMXers that literally spans the globe. The internet provides the means by which the members of the old school bmx community connect with each other. Now, we as old school enthusiasts can share our memories from back in the day and our passion for the collectable relics that have survived up to the present. So whether you're an old racer, freestyler, neighborhood trail rider, or if you are a person with just a single old school rider bike, or a collector with innumerable priceless builds whose tires never touch the earth, this is where we congregate to revel in nostalgia or discuss the ups and downs of collecting and everything in between. We are the Old School BMX community and this is OS-BMX.COM.
There are certain qualities that distinguish Old School BMX from the flock of similar sites. In short, it is our down to earth independence and the broad freedoms our members enjoy. Old School BMX is a place where members are unencumbered by heavy handed rules and regulations. People may pretty much do as they like as long as it doesn't unduly intrude upon the positive experience of other members. OS-BMX.Com is a member supported site, but we never pressure anyone for money. Members voluntarily come forward and contribute to the costs of running the site by subscribing at one of two possible membership levels. We believe that this works because OS BMX is like a home for the extremely varied diaspora of old school BMX heads from around the globe. We are a family here, and like any family we have our trials, tribulations and quarrels, but mostly we share the good times that generally characterize the old school BMX movement. We stand together on the solid foundation of old school BMX, and we invite everyone of like mind to join us!
