Nursing homes are charging as much or more than $3500 for a private resident these days. Not all people with medical disabilities need to be placed in a nursing facility.
As a level III adult foster care home we can take a high level of care, that of a nursing home. We have nurses that come into the home from local home health agencies that can delegate the tasks that are needed for higher level of care. The cost for the care at Optimum Care, Inc. starts at $2400.00 a month. There are three levels of care in our facility.
Level two is someone who would need assistance in the above and is not mobile, needing more hands-on care with hygiene, transferring to and from wheel chair and to and from bed.
