Where do you fit in the political spectrum? PEW has put together a little quiz you can take. Apparently I’m a liberal, but that doesn’t really tell me much. I believe in Australia the Liberals are really what we would call the conservatives here in America. Oh wait, this is about American politics… Well don’t forget to post your results in the comments!
Gooooooaaaaalll!!!! in ASCII
We don’t often cover sporting events here at Ookee, but this has got my geek on. In what is described as “The best, most ridiculous, most redundant graphical implementation of ASCII!” You can view a feed of the World Cup Games via telnet Here. (Site includes instructions). Traffic is pretty heavy though, so be sure to queue up early, and connect 10 min before the game. Here’s a handy schedule, all times British Standard Time (aka GMT plus EU Daylight Savings).
Into the Black
It was bound to happen… An actual Firefly fan film called Into the Black. Unlike the parody Mosquito, this one aims to serious storytelling. Apparently they started shooting in March so hopefully this summer they’ll have something for us to see! Meanwhile whet your appetite with Mosquito.
