Onsrud Cutter (OC) has been the world leader in the manufacturing of router bits since Oscar Onsrud invented the router in 1920. Our customers are the leaders in their field (aircraft, boats, furniture, cabinets and other plastic, wood and composite products) and rely on the consistent quality and performance of our tooling... and the OC staff that makes our fine products.
Onsrud Cutter is located in Libertyville, Illinois. It is the only router bit facility in the United States that manufactures high-speed steel, carbide tip, solid carbide and diamond coated router tooling.
Onsrud manufactured the first router bit in 1920. Onsrud Cutter will manufacture its 24,000,000th tool in 2005. That's 85 years of making tools that do the job for the world's most demanding industrial users. OC specializes in tooling for CNC routers. Close tolerance, high production, and long life are the features of OC bits. We also manufacture tooling for fixed or stationary routers, broken arm, pin, and inverted routers as well as electric and air routers. Our tools cut aluminum, composites, honeycomb, plastics, as well as natural and man-made wood materials.
