OCI Engineering (OCIE) is a world leader in the construction of bucketline dredges. The Company has constructed more modern bucketline dredges in the past 30 years than any other company.
OCIE has been engaged in consultancy, procurement, design, supply, engineering, management, construction and erection of modern alluvial bucketline dredges, mining and treatment plants in more than 27 countries.
OCIE has its roots in Osborne & Chappel International (OCI). OCI was started by British engineers in Malaysia in the 1890’s and was in the forefront in the development of the alluvial mining industry in Malaysia. The Company was responsible for the management of more than ten public listed tin mining and dredging companies. The total earth movement of these companies was in excess of 20 million cu m per annum.
