Title

Northwest Christian College

Description

Close ties and personal concern characterize our campus environment. People take time to interact, communicate and develop relationships with one another. Faculty and administrators are approachable and genuinely care whether students are succeeding. This kind of emphasis on the individual is possible because of the size of our campus (500 students) and a student-faculty ratio of 9:1. The concern for the student's well-being and the quality of their education produces a rewarding learning experience.

Faith and learning are integrated at NCC, a process basic to achieving the College's mission. We contend that optimal learning takes place as we connect the intellectual with the spiritual. Our curriculum and campus life are designed to nurture the whole person: body, mind and soul. We value our long-standing relationship with the Christian Church and seek to encourage a diverse campus community that welcomes students from a wide variety of church backgrounds.

Northwest Christian College was founded in 1895 by pastor-educator, Eugene C. Sanderson, and was originally called Eugene Divinity School. Through a series of name changes and a merger, we became known as Northwest Christian College in 1934.
