The purpose of the North Central Idaho Travel Association (NCITA) is strategic tourism development and promotion efforts for the 5-county region of north central Idaho (Clearwater, Idaho, Latah, Lewis and Nez Perce Counties). To accomplish its mission, NCITA partners with private, public, tribal and nonprofit organizations to leverage resources and maximize effectiveness of tourism efforts.
NCITA's role in the region is to coordinate overall tourism development and marketing efforts between key private, public, tribal and nonprofit entities and regional communities. We want to involve all regional entities in working together to achieve success in marketing the region to visitors. By working together, we can achieve our mutual goals!
Tourism in North Central Idaho is on the move! Visitor numbers are increasing, advance bookings for 2006 are up from 2005, and official Lewis & Clark Bicentennial events begin in a few short months. North Central Idaho exceeded its goal of surpassing $20 million in total lodging sales in 2005, showing an increase of $2.5 million over 2004. NCITA's goal is to exceed $22 million in regional lodging sales for 2006. Travel projections for 2006 are extremely positive The North Central Idaho Travel Association (NCITA) is excited to continue serving our region's tourism industry in 2006.
