Meetings
NCHS has been providing knowledgeable speakers on many herpetological subjects free to the public for some time. However, due to rising costs, beginning in April, 2003, there will be a $3 charge for non-members to attend meetings and hear our speakers.
Meeting Content
The first half hour of meetings is set aside for social interaction and opportunity to trade questions and answers with other members. During this time you may purchase memberships, informational materials on herpetological topics, reptile and amphibian supplies, club memorabilia and tickets for items to be raffled. There are often animals on display which are available for sale from private breeders. The highlight of the meeting is a presentation by a speaker who is well versed in his or her specialty area, followed by a discussion period. In addition to regular meetings, the club plans field trips, picnics and other special events according to the interests of the members.
Meeting Date and Time
The Northern California Herpetological Society meets at 7:30 P.M. on the first Friday of most months in Health Sciences Bldg C, Room 182, on the campus of the University of California, Davis. (Exceptions are holiday weekends).
