- This website is known as New Jersey Community Resources. The site began in 1994 when a list of state legislators was uploaded to a Rutgers University website. It was done so fellow citizens could contact their representatives to vote for an Internet bill. The measure, supported by a coalition of groups, won passage after a two year effort. The result of the group effort, was the creation of New Jersey Legislature's website.
