Title

The NFL History Network

Description

Here's a little bit on who we are, where we come from, why we are here, and what we hope to do:

The roots of the NFL History Network can be traced all the way back to Tax Day, 2000. That's when the first inklings of what you see today was first made public. It started with a "free" (ad banner riddled) site dedicated to the history of the Cleveland Browns. This site was a laugh, really, compared to what you see today. It was hosted on the Beseen servers (which no longer exist), and was created by the founder of this network, Frank D. Mann. If you feel like having a laugh, we've miraculously managed to keep a copy of the front page around after all these (2 - a lifetime on the internet) years. Click here to view it.

As stated previously, the ad banner-driven system known as Beseen went under. That really hurt the Browns History site, because although Frank managed to find another free provider, many people were left in the dark as to the new URL of the site. Life went on, however, and after exhaustive research, Frank settled on 50 Megs as his new free host. The upside was that they offered a bunch of space, but the downside was that the ad banner was much, much bigger (and uglier!).
