The New Generation Church is an international Christian denomination affiliating over 200 mostly Russian speaking churches worldwide and based in Riga, Latvia. Founded in 1989 by Alexei Ledyaev, it aims to transform both individuals and nations with the Biblical Gospel of Jesus Christ. New Generation emphasizes private and corporate spiritual life through prayer, Bible study and lively worship, social and political activism, faith and personal growth. New Generation affiliates both congregations and ministries inspired by same vision and strategy, formalized by Senior Pastor Alexei Ledyaev.
The local New Generation churches are based on each believer's individual calling and gifts, whether spiritual or professional. Local pastors are encouraged to influence their communities through charities, social activism, arts, and mass media, while affiliated Christians participate in regular church services, home groups, prayer, teaching of the Bible, seminars and conferences, and are motivated to serve the unsaved through their lives, personal example, testimony and charitable works.
Alexei Ledyaev as the Founder and Senior Pastor is an internationally known preacher, board member of the Billion Soul Initiative, visionary behind the annual Family Festival in Latvia, and author of numerous books, musicals, television programmes, and songs. Pastor Ledyaev is married to Olga Ledyaev, who pastors a New Generation church in Riga City Centre, and has 3 adult daughters Maria, Tatyana, and Anastasia.
