Title

New Energy Fuels, Inc. - Relax. . . It's Biodiesel!

Description

Excerpted from the website:

New Energy Fuels, Inc. manufacturers a diesel fuel equivalent derived from biological sources. Though derived from biological sources, it is a processed fuel that can be readily used in diesel vehicles worldwide without modification of the diesel engine. The manufactured fuel, termed “biodiesel” by the industry, can be distributed using today's infrastructure, and it’s use and production is increasing rapidly. Petroleum diesel fuel is produced from crude oil, whereas biodiesel is produced from a variety of vegetable oils, including but not limited to rape, canola, soy, linseed, palm, coconut, mustard and cotton oils. It can also be manufactured from tallow oil and used cooking oils. Biodiesel has emerged as a realistic and desirable alternative, or blended addition, to petroleum diesel and is becoming an increasingly valuable contributor to the world's drive to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It has been produced on an industrial scale in the European Union (EU) since 1992. Fuel stations are beginning to make biodiesel available to consumers, and a growing number of transport fleets use it as either an additive, or covert to 100% biodiesel as their fuel of choice. As a completely renewable fuel, oil to supply worldwide fuel demands can now be grown as a crop and processed into fuel. Historically, biodiesel in the United States (US) has been slower to develop as compared to the EU. The market in the US is ripe for larger scale production of biodiesel, the goal of New Energy Fuels. The Company is seeking to capitalize on the strong economic and environmental drivers behind biodiesel.
