New England Rail Service, Inc. began as a supplier of hobby items in November 1964. After working with other importers on the design of HO scale models patterned after New England prototypes, N.E.R.S. became an importer in its own right in 1984. Our purpose was, and continues to be, to provide modelers with the most highly accurate reproductions possible of a number of otherwise unavailable prototypes, particularly to those of us who model New England as it was in the 1940's and 1950's.
