NEC Foundation of America’s funding interests are highly focused, and demonstrate our philosophy of advancing society through technology and helping people to realize their full potential. Every grant we make must have national reach and impact related to assistive technology for people with disabilities.
This site showcases the body of work resulting from grants made by NEC Foundation of America since our 1991 inception. The site is designed to help nonprofit groups readily assess the likelihood of funding…in order to ease the very challenging work of raising money. And it is offered as a resource to those interested in technology for people with disabilities and science and technology education.
Technology is an equalizer. It enables people to improve their abilities and to assert and fully develop their potential. Our goal is to assure that individuals have the skills to advance the boundaries of technology, and to be served by innovation on both a personal and societal level.
