Please note: due to a shortage of funds, there will only be two tutors each week. Consequently, classes will have to be merged – as they were at the end of last session. This is a short-term measure forced upon us until we get our finances back on an even keel. We ask for your understanding. We have also raised the fees by a small amount. If you are unhappy about these developments please let us know.
For adults coming along earlier than 7.45, we would hope to have a bit of a tune together from around 7.00, before the adult classes begin.
Questionnaire Results
As you may recall, just before Christmas, Joe’s inner bureaucrat drove him to produce a questionnaire, which many of you were kind enough to complete. We now have a completely updated membership file and can now use the info within it to complete grant funding application forms. From the answers received it would seem that everyone is very satisfied with the tutors and the tuition received. (No surprises there – you wouldn’t be turning up otherwise). The majority of members seemed satisfied with the present payment system ie: paying weekly. A number of members said they would like a more structured slow session perhaps with instruments other than the fiddle. Could use the AGM to arrange this? The subject of tuition in other instruments, particularly the bodhran, was mentioned a couple of members. There were plans last year to begin bodhran lessons but these never came to fruition due to a number of factors. Does anyone know of a bodhran tutor we could approach?
