Southern Baptists have been involved in carrying the gospel to Native American and First Nations people for more than 150 years. The mission of the North American Mission Board is to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, start New Testament congregations, minister to persons in the name of Christ, and assist churches in the United States and Canada in effectively performing these functions.
This web site has been designed to serve as a resource to further evangelical Native American and First Nations ministries throughout North America. Throughout the pages, you will see the terms Native American and First Nations. Both of these terms refer to the indigenous people of North America. The term Native American refers to the indigenous tribal people of the United States of America. First Nations is the term that refers to the indigenous tribal people of Canada.
It is desired that this site would facilitate the spread of the gospel in Native American and First Nations settings across North America. This site has been intentionally designed to be interactive. In order for this site to be truly beneficial, we must hear from you by way of the response forms on this site. We value your input.
