Welcome to NELA
The New England Library Association provides a multitude of services and opportunities to librarians from every type of library throughout the six New England states. Membership in NELA provides educational and professional development, scholarship opportunities, leadership training, mentoring and participation in a variety of specialized committees and sections, reduced registration fees to the annual conference, access to an online distribution list devoted to library issues and information related to libraries on local, regional, state and national levels. On a personal level, NELA provides networking opportunities to interact with librarians from outside of your local area to expand your horizons.
We welcome you to our organization no matter what role you play in your library. Join us, attend conference, participate in our listserv and join a section or committee to enrich and enlighten the joy and satisfaction we share in our life’s work.
