n the fall of 2000, I created my own wedding website, when I began planning for my August 2001 wedding. Naturally, people had a lot of questions about how the planning was coming along. The website was a great way to keep everyone informed! Plus, they got to know my fiancé and me a little better, by reading the stories of how we met, how we got engaged, and seeing childhood photos.
As the wedding grew nearer, the website was an invaluable tool for our out-of-town guests. Everything they needed was all in one place - hotel recommendations, rental car information, directions for getting around town, things to do during their visit, and a schedule of wedding weekend events. Having links to our registries was also very convenient!
I received so many compliments on the website and quite a few people suggested I start making them for other people. I love weddings, and I love having the opportunity to make the event less stressful while contributing creatively to the enjoyment and memories of that special day.
