- Growing up my parents kept certain scriptures that they clung to. My Mom kept her Mother's Bible and wooden cross. My Dad had his Bible and scriptures written on paper that his Pastor had given him. My parents used these things as reminders of God's grace, love, and his promise to never forsake us. They were treasured by them. Strength and guidance from their heavenly father which they needed raising seven children.
