How it All Came to Be...
T he Muskoka Timber Frame Co. was established in 1995. Ron Downing is not only the owner of the company, but a hands on carpenter involved directly with the construction of every timber framed home we create.
R on has been building with wood for over 18 years, in fact right out of college, he started his own fence and deck business. Over the years to come, he became involved in complete home and cottage construction. This experience of self employment at an early age and the construction skills he developed, led to a career opportunity in the theme park industry as a manager of operations and construction.
A fter helping construct a timber frame home in 1992 he decided to leave the theme park business and start up his company called Ronald G. Downing Construction.
