Description
Since the advent of electronic information accessed via the web, the sheer number of unique data sources has skyrocketed. Most of these sources have their own unique sign-on, authentication processes, user interfaces and search query languages. This has created a very real and practical problem: an information discovery process that can be far from intuitive and often frustrating. Muse metasearch technology was created to solve this problem.
MuseGlobal's goal is to set the standard for metasearch technology — and the company is uniquely positioned to do so. Our founders and senior staff members have over 100 years of experience in dealing with all aspects of structured and unstructured information. Furthermore, our business model is based on the fact that metasearch technology is just one part of a complete content integration solution — which is why we do business solely on an OEM and development partner basis. And finally, our hub-oriented software offers in-built sustainability, a critical factor when dealing with thousands of different data sources on a daily basis.
The ideas behind the Muse product line originated with the initial founders' early experiences in the information industry, and with Dr. Peter Noerr's 1975 Ph.D. thesis from City University, London, in which he designed some of the methods now used in Muse technology. While development of the Muse product line officially started in late 1997, the underlying concepts represent over 150 combined years of forethought and experience — providing a significant competitive advantage both in the information industry and in the broader marketplace.
