Update: 8-18-08 THERE HANE BEEN "28" HOMICIDE THIS YEAR.The original Murderapolis shirt appeared in 1995. Minneapolis Police K-9 Sgt. Doug Madsen and Mark Koscielski, frustrated at the skyrocketing homicide rate in Minneapolis, created the Grim Reaper design. They hoped that the T-shirt with its Murderapolis logo would serve as a reminder of the terrible loss of life that was occurring and would spur the City into action combating the crime spree.
