About Us
Katy Flanagan and Gary O. Grimm started Mountain Visions in Oregon in 1979. Our vision was to help people understand our natural resources by creating and presenting exciting interactive multimedia productions.
Before that, we had been producing multimedia programs for several years while being associated with the University of Oregon Outdoor Program. When we won the Silver medal for entertainment at the International Multi-image Festival in Vail Colorado, we went "on the road" across North America with a wide screen, 12 projectors, auditorium sound system and show titles like Eclipse, South of Denali, and Salmon River 0dyssey. During these Mountain Visions "concerts" we were often asked if we could produce special multimedia presentations for an organization or agency.
The subject matter we knew the best was the natural environment and recreation in the outdoors. By 1984, we began to produce programs for organizations like Fish and Game departments, the Forest Service, Historical Societies, State Parks and Tourism groups in Oregon and Idaho.
