Getting To Know The Muslim Students Associaton
A sense of belonging to a community or a group is natural to the needs of a man and a vital part of a person's identity. Man, without any doubt, needs the warmth and support of the family, which is the basic unit of an Islamic society.
Beyond the family, man also needs the goodwill, support and fellowship of friends, neighbors and the wider community. People need to create the environment, the facilities and the network of relationships that promote and enhance the good and then combat and discourage the bad. People need to identify with and to be a part of a group or community that works toward these goals.
The Muslim Students' Association, MSA is a group of students and faculty members who are working together for peace and understanding in order to achieve the goals mentioned above for the community, particularly the Florida International University community. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is reported to have said, "A person inevitably follows the faith of ones friends; therefore, be careful in choosing your friends", >.
