The true story about moosegal.com is that the site was given to the gal behind moosegal by the guy she calls snailrider. Moosegal met snailrider at a geek forum and the two people found a way to drag race computers. We all know how fast a moose is and how fast a snail is. Regardless to say, that is why moosegal (formerly known as Shiver Me Timbers) is now known as moosegal and Snailrider (also known as Mag00) is also snailrider.

Note from Moosegal: It has been over a year now since Snailrider has given me moosegal. I have dedicated a large part of my life to developing the site, pleasing my visitors and taunting the snail. I have also managed to grow and trust my visitors which is why I have started opening up more about myself at moosedroppings. Normally I would not blog about any personal experiences but my visitors have been very good and all e-mails I have received have been positive.

As some of you have guessed, I was very new at this. I blundered through so many attempts to make a descent page, yet snail stood right behind me cleaning up the mess. Well I now clean up my own messes, mainly because snail was starting to get all huffy under the collar but I did learn and grow. As I look to the future as moosegal, I know snail will be right behind me ... encouraging me to learn new things, keep improving and never to give up.

Another special person also worthy of a mention is Dan Dare from dan-dare.org/. I was trying very hard to make a really great arcade and I just happened to stumble upon his site while looking for games. Although he was not a game provider, I had contacted him about a few of the games. He was very gracious and was willing to let me have any games that was open to sharing. He could have told me to go get them myself but he didn't and ever since them I have only the highest regard for him. When I removed the arcade from my site, I did add a button on my main page to take my guest to his site, which is by far, one of the best game sites on the web.

I am thrilled to be the gal behind moosegal.com and I hope that the days ahead will be as enjoyable as to me as the days behind.

Site Details

A better description of moosegal is ... that it's a site with a lot of content that changes frequently and more articles are added often. Here is a link to an index of the articles you and find on moosegal. [1]

Also available at moosegal is free television to watch, free music to listen to and a different types of content to be interesting to most. Moosegal.com also offers shopping links that bring you to reputable sites, great prices and no malware. Beyond the general interest, moosegal has pages for grown ups, youths, teens and a safe place for the very small children. Keeping children safe is very important and so is safe surfing for grown ups. To avoid launching other applications, moosegal has added a mail room where you can go pick up your msn, yahoo and G-mail with your browser. For your convenience, you can send friends an e-card without surfing all over, while in your own e-mail. Moosegal also runs contest with great prizes and very easy to participate without fear of spam, time wasting clicking to qualify or needing to share your friends e-mails with me.

One of the more interesting things I have added to the site is free winning lottery numbers. These numbers are provided for entertainment use and there is no guarantee that you will win. If you should win, I would like you to let us know but other than that, I have no claim on them and they are yours free to use.

I also promote exercise with fun and easy activities. Right now, I have added the belly dancing video feeds and Tia Chi. This is only the beginning to the health section I will be adding in the future.

There are many more aspects to moosegal.com. I have been working on a photo gallery that will soon be completed. You will also find food picture with recipes. My most favorite recipe is marsh mudd. It's a very rich, sweet, cold treat to eat that leaves you completely satisfied. See picture below.

Construction and Design Of Moosegal.com

Moosegal.com is built with a combination of hand coding, NVU (free) software and Netscape browser's composer. Although the design isn't any thing significant, I am constantly trying to find better ways to help people maneuver around the site, while allowing growth and evolving to provide visitors with more options and activities. It is my hopes that one day I will be able to visually enhance the site with more graphics and designs, without interfering with any new functions or additions to be added in the future.

Site History

Snailrider gave me the site at the end of July 06. Although I had it at the end of July, it took till August 27th of that year to actually create something and have snailrider load it to the server.

A few months later, after the many hours of snailrider instructing me about how to build web pages and how to use a server, moosegal.com started adding pages. From only one small page moosegal grew to over twenty pages and an article section by August 27th, 2007.

Moosegal has become known on the web. Thanks to Snailrider and myself, we have managed to create a freindship with many sites as well as a reputation for articles, advice and worthy site content.

A Little About The Gal Behind Moosegal.com

This gal behind moosegal is an environmental lover. Although I live in the north, I take advantage of each and every opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. I love watching wildlife, I feed many woodland creatures and I have been known to call a few birds too.

The picture at the top of the page is truly a marsh not far from my home. There are many hiking trails around my house but the one to the marsh is my favorite. Although there are many bears and wolves around that trail, the plant life and trees make for a spectacular view and fragrantly appealing to the nose.

Hiking isn't my only passion as I also have a great interest for writing. I have a lot of different stories and articles located at many different sites with different pen names attached to them or just as a ghostwriter. It is my hopes that one day I will be able to dedicate a large amount of time to writing children's educational books, Sci Fi for adults and maybe a few mysteries too.

Summary

Moosegal.com serves as a playground for a moose and snail. It also provides great articles for anyone interested in celebrities, human interest, stories and fables, strange stuff and advice. For those looking for entertainment, games, sports updates, news, bargain hunters, shoppers, and even computer help, it's there waiting for you to explore it.
